The SAOSS (South Africa Open Source Software) forum is an organised regrouping of people across various SA government departments, state entities, private sector (including South African open source vendors) and private advocates to collate all open-source projects and services across SA Government.
We feel open source has an important role in interoperability, cost savings, data sovereignty, local economic development and empowerment for government and citizen of South Africa. This is a platform for sharing of all those resources, skills, and knowledge.
Have a look at our Latest News, our Document Repository (of key policies, statements, etc from SA Government), and our Discussions Forums where we are busy collating what OSS is in use by SA Government.
